Timetable

School timetable software that catches teacher clashes

EduRit builds each section's weekly timetable period by period, warns you before a teacher is booked into two classes at the same time, and lets elective subjects run side by side in one period.

What you get

Timetable in EduRit

Teacher-clash check

Booking a teacher into two sections in the same period is flagged before it's saved.

Parallel elective periods

Biology and Computer Science, say, can share a period, each with its own teacher and students.

On every phone

Students, parents, and teachers see today's timetable in the app; teachers see their own day first.

Drives lecture-wise attendance

In lecture-wise classes, the timetable tells EduRit which subject each period's register is for.

Substitute teachers

When a teacher is on leave or absent, EduRit lists their periods for the day and suggests free teachers, lightest day first. The substitute gets a notification on their phone.

How it works

From setup to every day

  1. 1Set up periods and subjects for the section.
  2. 2Assign a subject and teacher to each period; clashes are flagged.
  3. 3Add elective subjects side by side where needed.

Questions

Timetable: common questions

Does EduRit stop a teacher being double-booked?

Yes. It warns before a teacher is put into two classes in the same period.

Can two elective subjects run in the same period?

Yes. Electives can run side by side in one period, and each one's register lists only the students who chose it.

How do we arrange a substitute when a teacher is absent?

Open Substitutes for the day: EduRit shows the absent teacher's periods and suggests teachers who are free then, those with the lightest day and fewest covers this month first. Assign one and they are notified.
