Attendance: common questions
Can teachers take attendance on their phone?
Yes. Teachers mark attendance on the EduRit Android app or in any phone browser. The app opens on their own class first.
Can some classes take attendance per lecture?
Yes. Each class is set to daily or lecture-wise. Lecture-wise classes mark every period against its subject, and elective subjects show only the students who chose them.
Do parents get an SMS when their child is absent?
Not an SMS: parents get a push notification on the EduRit Android app and see it in their login. There are no SMS charges for the school.
Which statuses can a teacher mark?
Present, absent, late, and excused.
Can attendance be marked on holidays?
No. Days in the school calendar marked as holidays or weekly offs are closed, so registers can't be filled in by mistake.
