1. About this policy
EduRit is a school management platform run by Ritik Maurya (Founder & CEO), from Mumbai, Maharashtra 400033. In these pages, "EduRit", "we", and "us" mean Ritik Maurya, trading as EduRit.
This policy explains when we refund a payment for an EduRit plan and how a school can cancel. It is part of our terms of service. A written quote that a school accepts can set different terms, and if it does, the quote applies.
2. Try before you pay
Every school can use EduRit free for 14 days, with every module, before paying anything. No payment details are needed for the trial. We offer the trial so a school can decide with its own classes and staff, and that is why paid plans are generally not refundable.
3. Refund within 7 days of the first payment
If a school pays for its first EduRit plan and changes its mind, it can cancel within 7 days of the payment date and get a full refund. This applies once per school, to the first paid plan only, not to renewals or upgrades.
4. After 7 days
After 7 days, and for every renewal, plan fees are non-refundable, including for any part of the year that is not used. When a school cancels, it keeps full access until the end of the period it has paid for.
5. Duplicate or mistaken payments
If a school is charged twice for the same invoice, pays more than the invoice amount, or is charged in error, we refund the extra amount in full, whenever it is reported.
6. How to cancel
To cancel a plan or stop it from renewing, an administrator of the school emails support@edurit.in or raises a request from Help & Support in the dashboard, with the school's name and EduRit address. We confirm the cancellation by email within 2 working days.
Plans do not renew or charge automatically. We send a renewal invoice before the end of each year, and the plan renews only when the school pays it.
After a plan ends, a school can ask for a copy of its records, as set out in our terms of service.
7. How refunds are paid
To ask for a refund, email support@edurit.in with the invoice or payment reference. Once we approve it, the refund goes back to the original payment method (UPI, card, net banking, or bank transfer) within 7 working days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it in your account.
GST charged on a refunded amount is refunded with it. Payment gateway charges are not deducted from a refund.
8. Upgrades and downgrades
A school can move to a bigger plan at any time and pays only the difference for the rest of its current year. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the next renewal; we don't refund the difference for the current year.
