A teacher–parent communication app, without sharing numbers

EduRit lets teachers and parents message each other inside the school app, so no one has to share a personal phone number. Messages arrive live, the school decides the hours parents can write, and the principal can read every parent conversation.

What you get

Messages in EduRit

No personal numbers

Parents write to their child's class teacher and subject teachers; teachers write to the parents of students in their own classes.

Live, like a chat app

Messages appear instantly in the app and on the office dashboard, with typing… and Seen, and a push notification when the app is closed.

Chat hours

Parents can send messages only during the hours the school sets, such as 8:00 to 18:00. Teachers can reply any time.

The principal can read along

The principal and administrators can open any parent conversation, without marking it read.

Staff messages

The principal can message any teacher or staff member in a private conversation.

One-tap call

A teacher can ring a parent from the conversation. A teacher's own number is never shown to parents.

How it works

From setup to every day

  1. 1Turn messages on and set the chat hours in Settings.
  2. 2A teacher picks a class, then a student's parent, and writes.
  3. 3Parents open Messages and choose their child's teacher.
  4. 4New messages show up at once, with a notification on the phone and the dashboard.

Questions

Messages: common questions

Do teachers have to share their phone number with parents?

No. Teachers and parents message each other inside EduRit, and a teacher's number is never shown to parents.

Can parents message teachers late at night?

Only if the school allows it. The school sets the hours parents can send messages; outside them parents can read but not send.

Can the principal see teacher–parent messages?

Yes. The principal and administrators can read every teacher–parent conversation. Messages between the principal and a staff member stay between the two of them.

Does EduRit send messages over WhatsApp or SMS?

No. Messages stay inside the EduRit app and dashboard, with push notifications, so there are no SMS charges.

Which plans include messages?

Every plan.
