Short answer
In 2026, cloud school ERPs in India are usually priced either per student, commonly about ₹100–500 per student a year, or at a flat yearly fee from around ₹10,000 for a small school to over ₹1 lakh for a large one. Budget separately for SMS or WhatsApp packs, payment gateway fees, and setup or data migration, which many vendors charge extra.
The three pricing models
| Model | How it works | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Per student, per year | A rate per enrolled student, often ₹100–500 | The bill grows every time admissions do |
| Flat yearly plan | One price per school by size band and modules | Which modules each plan really includes |
| One-time licence + AMC | Older installed software: a licence plus about 15–20% a year for maintenance | Upgrades, hosting, and backups you run yourself |
The extras that change the total
- SMS and WhatsApp messages, often sold as yearly packs.
- Payment gateway charges on online fee payments, typically about 1.5–2.5% per transaction.
- Setup, training, and moving records from your old system.
- Custom report card or certificate designs.
- Extra charges for more users, branches, or storage.
How to compare quotes fairly
- Get every quote for your real student and staff numbers.
- Add three years of fees plus every extra above.
- List the modules you need and check each quote includes them.
- Divide by students and years to get a cost per student per year.
What EduRit costs
EduRit publishes its prices. After a 14-day free trial with every module, a school picks a yearly plan; GST is extra, and there are no per-student or setup fees.
| Plan | Price per year | Size | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | ₹14,999 | Up to 300 students, 30 staff | Attendance, fees, exams and report cards, homework, timetable, notices, Android app |
| Standard | ₹29,999 | Up to 800 students, 80 staff | Admissions, certificates and ID cards, library |
| Pro | ₹49,999 | Up to 1,500 students, 150 staff | Transport, front office, payroll, help moving records, priority support |
At full capacity that works out to about ₹50 per student a year on Basic, ₹37 on Standard, and ₹33 on Pro. EduRit doesn't sell SMS packs or charge for setup help. Online fee payments go through the school's own Razorpay account, so Razorpay's transaction charge is the only gateway cost, and EduRit takes no share. Schools above 1,500 students or with several campuses get a written quote.
Market ranges above come from published vendor price lists and industry pricing guides in 2026, and vary by vendor and school. Always ask for a written quote for your own numbers.
